Our Foundation
50 Years ago, Jostar Interiors was founded by Joanna Starko, who continues today as the firm’s principal designer. Joanna first started as a solo entrepreneur because she wanted the opportunity to do what she loved; and so, she created the perfect job for herself. She had always been drawn to the design field, and wanted to work with the elements she loves – colours, fabrics, textures, and art, to create amazing spaces
Where We Started
Joanna started with a loan to buy equipment and sewing machines. She set up a workroom at her first location. Growing her business as her client base flourished, the business evolved from drapery and fabric to a full-service interior design and renovation firm. Over the years our clients have been at the heart of our business, with many returning time and time again.
